Back in early October, J.K. Rowling had a little fun on Twitter (nothing new) both supporting her team and bribing her fans to do so as well.
Potterheads across the globe, whether supporters of the Scotland team or not, tweeted away in hopes of finally hearing this coveted information straight from Rowling herself.
Lucky for us:
That’s right, fans, today would have been Sirius Black’s 56th birthday. Though we miss him terribly, Padfoot himself would want us to raise a glass to his memory and celebrate his life.
Sirius Black: Sorry about the bite, I reckon that twinges a bit.
Ron: A bit? A bit? You almost tore my leg off!
Sirius Black: I was going for the rat. Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog. In fact, more than once, James suggested that I make the change permanent. The tail I could live with. But the fleas? They’re murder.
“Like the fact that the person Sirius cared for the most about in the world was you,” said Dumbledore quietly.
“Besides, the world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.”
A loyal and devoted friend through and through. Happy birthday, Sirius!
Mischief managed.
Yay! Happy birthday Sirius – may he be pranking Snape in wizarding heaven.
