BBC America revealed today that beloved yet controversial Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat will release his reins as executive producer and lead writer for the series after the completion of it’s 10th season.
Chris Chibnall of Broadchurch fame will take over the popular sci-fi adventure series, and Moffat has full faith that Chibnall is the right fit. “It took a lot of gin and tonic to talk him into this,” Moffat said.”But, I am beyond delighted that one of the true stars of British Television drama will be taking the Time Lord even further into the future.”
Steven Moffat has taken a lot of heat regarding various storylines and plot holes throughout his run with Who, but I will always love him for giving us the firecrackin’ wit and incredible charm of River Song.
The Whoniverse is in preparation for a huge change of pace (and face if speculations of Capaldi exiting soon are true), are you ready?
