The Flight of the Conchords Back on Tour

It’s been nine years since The Flight of the Conchords first premiered on HBO, and the  guys have sure been keeping busy since the series’ end in 2009.
Most recently, you’ve heard Jemaine Clement on a few DirectTV commericals, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, and in 2010’s Despicable Me. And if you’re smart,  you’ve seen him in Dinner for Schmucks, Gentlemen Broncos, and What We Do in the Shadows. Not to be outdone, Bret McKenzie continues to work on his music after his major, Oscar-winning composition for The Muppets in 2012.
Yup, Bret has an Academy Award (on top of his recurring role as the fan-favorite Rivendell elf, Figwit, in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.)

And after months of speculation, the duo has made it official via their Facebook account that they will be returning to the states for another musical tour.

This is huge news for fans of the Conchords, as it’s been years since the guys last toured the U.S. together.

The Flight of the Conchords’ music offers a unique listening experience, as they combine superb wit and sarcasm with their impressive musical and storytelling abilities. Their song “Carol Brown” is the Emmy-nominated, perfect example of the Conchords’ tone and humor.

If you’re a fan of smart comedy, good music, and New Zealand (not Australian) accents, be sure to set a date with The Flight of the Conchords this summer.
