Sookie will make an appearance in Netflix’s Gilmore Girls reboot.

“After months of will-she or won’t-she speculation, Melissa McCarthy has agreed to reprise her role as Sookie in Netflix’s forthcoming Gilmore Girls revival, I’ve learned exclusively,” Ausiello stated in a release on Thursday. “According to sources, McCarthy will tape her appearance in the coming days.”

I truly believed that this miracle was never going to occur, but am ecstatic that Melissa is set to return. Sookie and Lorelai’s friendship has always been so special to me, and the fact that we get to see that spark once again, if only for a moment, is glorious.
