For most people, the summer season calls to mind memories of popsicles, swimsuits, sun, and sand. But, for Fanspeak Files, the summer of 2016 is about one thing, and one thing only, The Fellowship of the Ring.

Yesterday we completed our adventure alongside Bilbo, Gandalf, and the dwarves in The Hobbit, and now we move on to a bigger, longer story in which we will follow Bilbo’s nephew Frodo Baggins on a journey just as dangerous and exciting, if not more so.

Frodo will not travel alone, though. He will be accompanied by some of the most well-written and beloved characters in the history of literature, and will face many foes along his path. With friends by his side, and a courage that can only be found in the Hobbits we know and love so well, Frodo summons his strength and embarks on his very own epic adventure.

Luckily, Howard Shore has already curated the perfect soundtrack for today’s “Music Monday” post, none other than the Academy Award winning score of  Peter Jackon’s Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring.
