Big news.
Big, big news.
Potter fans across the world rejoice today as The Bookseller confirms that the Cursed Child script will be published in book form on July 31st.
The release of the script falls on both Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling’s birthday.
Fans will be able to purchase the book in both physical and digital forms, making this eighth story following Harry, Ron, and Hermione available to more than just the lucky theatergoers with tickets to the play at the Palace Theatre in London.
The book will be published by Little, Brown UK, and by Scholastic in the states.

There’s so much love for Rowling’s wizarding world that many people were, though excited about it’s existence, disappointed to be left out of the Potter revival with the Cursed Child as a play, not a film or book. Publishing the script this way is the perfect strategy for filling that need, and bringing everyone together for the long awaited eighth story.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
