As fans of countless TV shows, films, movies, books, and videogames, it’s easy to get lost in the sea of fandom memorabilia that has appeared online in the past five years or so. Sure, there’s always been a geek-led community that created and sold handmade gifts, and studios have taken advantage of entertainment merchandise for years, but there’s one online store in particular that has, from our experience, absolutely ruled them all.
Since 1999, ThinkGeek.com has supplied geeks across the world with clothing, figurines, replica props, and home gadgets to show off their passion for fandom, and in September the team behind the online store opened up their very first brick and mortar location in Orlando, Florida.
Luckily, ThinkGeek didn’t stop there, and has continued to open up IRL stores across the country. Be prepared, Houston, because we’re about to have a problem…with our wallets, because they’re opening not one, but two locations in our area.
Check out the video below for more details, and let us know what you think about Houston’s new relationship with ThinkGeek!
